Re: Chino 2008 Photo Report by Victor Archer with Jeffrey Archer
First, let me say that you have some great shots and it was a nice write up.
Now....I'm curious....Why does everyone exclude mention or photos of the people who make it happen? Granted, the pilots are a vital part of the show. However, there are over 200 volunteers on the ground without whom, the airshow wouldn't happen!
So....for all the volunteers at ALL airshows................
THANKS!!!!!!!!!

Re: Chino 2008 Photo Report by Victor Archer with Jeffrey Archer
Yes, awesome story and pictures! Thanks to the Archers! Only a couple of VERY small errors however.
In the article it states:
"and the only known airworthy Grumman F3F 'flying barrel' piloted by Rob Paterson."
There are actually 4 airworthy F3F's, although probably only 2 are flown on any kind of regular basis. Remember, Herb Tischler from the now defunct TAF made 4 of those replicas - all airworthy.
Also it states:
"Joining this group was Eddie Kurdziel flying his beautifully restored Fairey Firefly AS-6, one of only three Fireflies in airworthy condition. "
There used to be 3 up until the RNAF's Firefly crashed in a fatal airshow accident in England back around 2003 or so. There are now only 2 flyable in the world - the CWH's WH632, and Eddie Kurdziel's WB518.
Other than these 2 minor details, AWESOME article!
