Some qual. times are up!

I see that some qualifying times are up on the RARA site. September Pops on top of the charts so far at 411. Air Biscuit breaks 300 barrier again!

Question: Once a plane has qualified, can it go out again and try to improve the speed, or are they "one attempt and done"?

You have until wednesday to post your best qual time. Heats are then broken up according to those times. If you dont post a qual time before then you start at the bottem and work your way up through out the week. No bumping up after saturday with the exception of 1st place finishers.

I believe this is how it works.

Okay, thanks for the info. Bottom line is that Air Biscuit can still try to break 305!

Ahh.. beat me to it. Just got word from Dago team...

"Dago qualified 474+ just ahead of Sept Fury. Still have the Bear and Strega to wait on. We will see how it all plays out."

Pronounced.... Last qualifying session will be very interesting just to see who wants the inside track the most. I expect all the heavy hitters to be prepped and ready late Wendsday afternoon (just in case).

BTW: How are they measuing the course this year? The "bent ruler" method or simply point to point. Just curious.

Pretty sure thet are still using the "optimized" line method also know as the bent ruler.

Yep....I'm betting ole #7 quals in the 460 range to put a bit of drama. He'll start moving up race week.

Czech Mate might push 460...fastest ever.

Bear is cutting it too close for my liking. They are the never give up crew and wish them all the best.

Voodoo is running a stocker, so if she makes the show I'm betting on 420 ish.

I'm a bit jaded about the course timing....but whatever.

Wonder what the jets are doing? A bit of Astronaut drama?
