I just did an air foil for 1/12 scale Mustang that is allowed to be 10% thick and reynolds area is very low.

How would you comment on this; does it have a tad of the real Mustang foil spirit ?

BTW; I just checked on my XFLR5 design program ( x-foil based ) that p-51D root and tip foil had 0.007 Cd...and H-model tip foil is 0.004 Cd ( drag ).

That model foil above when introduced to 1/1 scale Mustang would have 0.004 Cd, but would have 3 times the lift..that is 2D lift. So you just cannot take that foil and reduce the wing into 1/3 size ( no sir ). It is only 10% thick so the wing would have to be titanium to last for sure.

The P-51D foil Cd might be affected by the small number of panels in the dat files ?
