The thing about the strakes is that they were 'new'. It wasn't like they used the ones that were already out there....i.e. the pair off of Sumthin' Else like Tiger used on Strega, or the pair off of Precious Metal. Those strakes were Jim Larsen designed and were shaped exactly how they were supposed to be. IIRC, the ones on Voodoo weren't designed by Jim and were kind of eyeballed and just 'put on' without being flow tested. I think Skip said that how they were put on made the plane handle kind of squirrely.

My guess is that with some adjustment and reshaping they could have worked just great.

Yup, I like the white as well. If ya squint really hard, it kinda takes you back to the "Miss RJ" days. None-the-less, beautiful bird.
