Leaked Wasabi Photo

Hey guys,

We had an issue yesterday with a new intern here at Mojave airport. The intern posted a picture of us on the ramp that shows more of our recent work than we'd like. Anyway, despite it being a little ahead of schedule we are excited to share that photo with you (see below).

The photo was taken while we were being recorded for the upcoming Disney Planes movie (more on that).

Oh boy! That sure looks like a fully composite fuse/tail from the little I can see or her!

Well, as Formula 1 air racing is my favorite by far (don't shoot at me warbird guys, flack jacket is already on!) I have a bazillion questions. But I won't ask because you are a racer, and should keep any information you wish to yourself. I'd love to hear about any info you would like to share of course. But until then, I am SO grateful that you have invested the time, blood, sweat, and sleeplessness to design/build something special for us all to enjoy. I wish you all the best finishing her up and getting her prepared for Reno.

Thank you. I am excited to share our silly little airplane. It's the first airplane we have designed and built and it is such an exciting time for the team!

I have a screenshot from the video we will be playing at our tent talk on Thursday, I hope you can make it!

Since its details will be posted soon, I'm going to point out what I notice..

Very NXTish wing shape, specifically the tips. (not surprising haha)
Pitot tube on the vertical, that is a nice touch. One less thing to bang your head on while under the airplane..
The landing gear seems longer then most F1's, but that may be the angle and lack of a size reference in the photo.
Her T-shirt left me trying to fill in the blanks.
I can't see any aero balance on the elevator or rudder, so weights must be internal. Also NXTish.
Jealous of the white primer, I could use some of that tomorrow.

Looking forward to the real details.
