Ummm it was Mark Hanna, and no he was not doing a low pass, he was turning finals to land at an airshow centre in Spain when the 109 he was flying stalled at very low altitude. Mark was once quoted in an interview here in NZ that the 109 was an absolute joy to fly if flown with respect and care, especially in the critical phases as he termed it, take off and landing the 109, especially the HA-112 buchons that make up the majority of survivors, as the merlin swings the 'wrong way' to a DB600 series motors.
