P-51 over Napa

[Plane Nuts]

At 12:30 today I heard a Merlin overhead, ran outside with lunch in hand. P-51 headed NE, turned around and flew over the house again SW towards Napa airport. Silver W/Air Force marking. Maybe P-51H saw at Nut Tree last year. No JAFC.

Could be. This is the one I saw at Mustang days at Nut Tree Airport Vacaville, CA. It's coming up Oct 12.

Could have been George Perez' one, based out of Schellville. That is in a plain factory scheme.

Looks like the one at North Las Vegas airport. Bill Allmons (sp) NACA P-51 for high speed wing testing. It's registered to someone at Hayward airport.
