I could tell that was an antenne, but looking again at the picture I can see another one on the left wing as well. Which leads me to the next question, where IS the pitot tube?

Another question: Just a few years ago, all the T-6'ers had spinners on the props. Now there's a few that don't, even the really fast ones. Have they decided it's not that important? If your gonna go through a rebuild as through as Chip described, would you want that tiny bit the spinner would provide?

And off the T-6 subject a little, does the "more pointy" spinner of Voodoo and Risky, Samurai, Roto, etc. give any aerodynamic advantage over the stock unit?

One more "Off the subject" post.
For those of you that have Microsoft's Flight Simulator 2002 or 2004, there's a pretty good Two of Hearts T-6 for that game. It's freeware and available at www.flightsim.com If your not a member and want to get it for your game, let me know and I'll send it to you. There's also an available Voodoo in her present stock form and a version of Stead with the pylons.

Ahhhh.....the antennae on the wingtip of Gotcha!!. Yes, that was a good one. You guys wanna know what that was out there for?

        A distraction.

It was supposed to draw all the 'lookie-loo's' away from another 'speed secret' that Pat was running that year. And the distraction worked too. The inspectors never found it.

Of course, Pat didn't win that year, either....so it's a toss up if the effort was worth the payoff.
