does rare bear still have the engine configuration that is hanging on Fifi or is that just a rumor and there is no truth to it I thought they were testing the configuration and race form on rare bear and it worked out pretty good any clue if they left it alone and just modded it to death

The "Fifi configuration" was derived from the bear's engine, not the other way around. When one year the Bear crew were in a jam for a new engine, since they knew these engines were in the middle of being built-up for Fifi they went ahead and acquired one to use on the Bear as a stop-gap.

No, the FIFI motor is not on there any more. That was a one year deal when they were waiting on a race motor to be finished. The FIFI engine is sort of a hybrid 3350, but does have the race motor bearing tolerances etc.

Engine installed in 2010 was a Cornell race engine.
2011 Same engine races cancelled
2012 has been re-hashed a million times
2013 was basically everything around the engine and some of the engine (Induction, carb and exhaust)re-engineered
2014 completely new engine and same engineering from 2013.

2 Months from now everyone gets to sit around sayin woulda, coulda, shoulda.
