Cruised by today - Air Race paradise is coming to life.

The concession area has new sealer applied, the general admission bleachers are going up. Can almost smell the garlic fries and hear the crowds.

The bear cave is still silent. Last week when I drove by the lone jeep sentry had two others parked next to it, so the bear should start coming out of hibernation before long.

0 Activity at the Bear Cave?

Ezell's website popped up last week with pics of the engine running on a test stand. Nothing here or on the RB FB page tho.

Did they re-schedule the races for November?

2 days ago-ish they posted more pics of the engine on the test stand, it's probably been on that test stand for a week so I imagine it's fine tuning so they won't have as much to deal with in the cave (or in the air for that matter). I bet they want everything as precise as possible before bringing here to Stead. Go bear!!

Any tuning beyond initial break in needs to be done on the airframe in flight.

Be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Via the Ezell facebook page the Bear hibernation ends this week. 3350 probably headed out today if it didn't head out yesterday. If anyone is down there keep us updated!

You guys are killin' me...gettin' real homesick for the Church dirt lot....I'd better get on my bike and do one quick lap of WA state to make the time go quicker....love the porta potty pics!

I have a request for anyone who is out at Stead. Do the general admission bleachers have a deck at the top like they did ~5-6yrs ago or do the seats go all the way to the top/back.

I will never stay in that lot again. That psycho "Big Joe" who was running "Security" ensured that. Way to screw up free money St Micheal's. In fact, I may hit him with my car if I see him.
