There seems to be some confusion here

Is 500+ the CHT or Speed?

I am guessing that unless a GPS is installed that it would be CHT since true airspeed has to be calculated/converted from KIAS with altitude and temp factored in.

The GPS could simply be a free phone app with the phone stuck/wedged somewhere. Not likely for racing, but easy for a test hop

True however I would then doubt the accuracy. I am pretty sure it is a CHT issue.
