I was really hoping to see some of these items revisited, when Smoot did the wing build on CM a few years back.

All ribs, control surfaces, gear wells, any tanks etc would have to be re-designed and rebuilt and that is assuming that the spars and gear attach hardware could be re-used.

Re: A question about Furias
I stop by the Sanders facility once a month, my pictures go back about 11 years at Ione. I watched them build, paint and test Furias, I also watched the life of 232. I wish she would have flown, and raced with the best, we will never know.
My thinking is that if Dreadnaught can run at 450, with all the modification they made to Furias she would be pushing 490.
Matt said he over 1000 horse power left, and qualified at 467 at Reno 2012. It is a good debate.
I wonder if she would have been able to attack the 528 record?
I will always remember when I walked in and she was still in the checker blue and white paint scheme, and then how great she looked after the Sanders team did their magic!

Another would be to add a cuff to the leading edge.
Or graft an existing wing to the Yak fuselage (which may require some tail mods, too).
None would be easy. But probably necessary for Czech Mate to go any faster reliably.
