History Lesson

I got a question for those who have been around or at least know more air race history than I do. I just moved to the Kansas City area and I hear a lot about races in KC at one time. I cant find any thing about the history of races here. Any one want to give me a history lesson?

Now I at least have some good starting ground. I can dig with the dates and see what I can find. Some one around here has to remember if it was only 9 or 10 years ago.
