Lets add some fuel to that rumor. Stevo is the featured speaker at the NAG banquet with his special guest Tiger. Sounds like Stevo is the new Unlimited hired gun.

Anyone hazard a guess as to how much $$ it would take to hire Stevo, or some other comparable pilot, to fly your uber-unlimited?

Is Stevo, still working with the Voodoo team? If so I'd wager he is still with them. I cant see two competing teams sharing secrets. I'd bet Steve will be flying with whatever team he is working most closely with. He and Tiger are good friends so the fact that they are sharing the stage together in an off season event doesn't mean a whole lot. They did that last year.

I guess Will Whiteside might be a viable option for whatever team doesn't have a pilot. I guess there are a few options. If 232 has been sold, will Hoot be flying it if it comes back? If not, is he certified in a p-51? I think there could be a few possibilities for who is flying Strega this year.

I would love to see Will given another opportunity to shine. I think he could become real stiff competition for Stevo.

Heck, I'd love to See Will fly Strega, against Stevo in Voodoo...

Put him in Strega and give them all a run for the money if there is any left and get rid of the BAD Boy's at the mike, they always seem like they are at a loss for words, we could lose them. I have been to RC races and they have a better one I believe his name is wright, the first name escapes me.

I saw where a long-time air show announcer passed away, anybody know if he was one of those guys who is usually at Reno?

The only the I have heard is that Gordon Bowman-Jones suffered a stroke recently, but he is still with us.

The RC airshow announcer that you are thinking about is Sam Wright. He does a great job, has a great voice, is very knowledgeable about all forms of aviation, spends many hours at his hangar and flying at Chino Airport... Doesn't tell stupid jokes over the microphone, doesn't laugh at his own jokes over the microphone, and knows when to talk and when to be quiet and let the airplanes do the talking!.... And best of all, he doesn't use stupid phrases such as "bad boys of Air Racing". He would be a perfect fit at Reno.
