Last year at the Mojave Experimental Flyin, Mike broke two records with his last airplane the 780 powered Legacy that featured a custom supercharger. Mike also walked away with the event's highest honor the Mojave Flyin Experimenter Of the year.

Mike is back at it for 2015 with this turbine powered monster. Rumors are that he plans to attempt several records during the week prior to the event. April 18th at KMHV be there or be square!!!

Wasn't sure if the paint was a new scheme for the 780 legacy or not.

Appears to be prior to conversion........no exhaust for turbine. In one of the pics you can see "780" in front of the wing root.

Yes. PT-6 turbine.

That's what confused me?... Wasn't sure what plane he was talking about really.. Does he still have the 780? Or did he cut it up to make the turbine

This was a newly completed, flying IO-550N Legacy. Well, here, just watch this video:

That pretty much sums it up. Some of the mods for the PT-6 conversion are rather interesting. Not something I'm crazy about, but to each his own.
