Vic,
Unfortunatly I don't have any pictures, but I do have a little bit of info that I got from a few books. Hopefully some folks out there will remember some of the names and have a photo of this one.
First registered at McClellan AFB and sold surplus to Art Stasney 1963. Art did a major rebuild at Van Nuys in '68.
Soloman Pasey 1969
Flight Lease Inc. Columbus, OH. 1970 Imagine leasing a mustang!
Warren Schulden '72 to '78
Crashed Dec. 12, 1979
Marvin Crouch, currently under rebuild in Encino, CA.
It's interesting that it was first registered in the same lot as a couple other noteworthy Mustangs.

N7716C: Bob Love's Jolly Roger

Race 29 thanks for the info. I ran accross the NTSB report on the Warren Schulden crash, guess he was trying to impress one of his crop dusting friends and didn't make it. The photo I posted was taken at Orange County, CA in Jan. 1964. I should have quite a few more photos of mustang and other warbirds to share after Christmas.
Does any one know if it still belongs to Marvin Crouch and if it is still some where in Encino? I'm not to far from there mabe I'll go looking for it.

Vic,
I checked the FAA's web site and the old girl is still registered to Marvin Crouch in Encino. It could just be that the Mustang is registered to Mr. Crouch's home address (which was given on the FAA site) and he has the Mustang at a different location. It might be at the Encino airport since it's not at Chino. Good Luck, lemme know what you find!

Hey Race 29 thanks again for the info. I'm going to look into this one a bit more.
Unregistered Guest, how do you know that there isn't anything left of the Mustang?
Both mustangsmustangs and warbird registry list it as a restoration project.
Why would some one buy the registration for a plane that doesn't exist?
I did see that NTSB did report it as destroyed.
Does any one know more about the crash, or how to research it?
NTSB said it went into ground/water?

I'm just doing this for personal interest. I'm not trying to dig up skeletons or discredit anyone.
My Dad always wondered where all the war birds ended up he had photographed.
I have found out quite a bit of wonderful information on photos that I have posted so far.
