We are in the final stages of resolving the issues with the forums move to the new location. After talking with tech support, the only solution was to send him a copy of all the images. This will take time - but we know the fix SO it's only a matter of time now.

    Re: Wingman quiz

    How about the following:

Alan Preston in Old Deadeye #12
J.K. Ridley in Big Richard #37
Jimmie McMillan in Skyraider # 404

It was 1985 -- don't know which race. I'm not totally certain about the second Corsair, but Brad's call is most likely correct.

"Old Deadeye" had a polished nose-bowl. "Blue Max" had the white checkerboards a little farther back on the cowling.

Bob Yancey's Corsair (not in the photo) was a lighter color blue than "Old Deadeye" and "Blue Max".

Should have gone back and looked at some tapes...
Yancey also had a spinner that year if I remember, and busted a canopy during a heat. I forgot about both Preston and Ridley, and Jay.
Sigh, old-timers disease, I can't tell the players without a scorecard!
          Nice shot Neal!!

85 was the year that the B-26 (Puss N' Boots?) passed Blue Max at the home pylon with his bomb bay doors open.

The busted canopy was on "Old Deadeye".
