So what the heck is going on here, and what does it have to do with Air Racing?
Can anybody name the year?

Re: Wingman quiz 3
Looks like a slightly modified version of a smoke oil party? Last one I know of was put on by Jimmy, probably about 2007 or so.. If I remember correctly, Jimmy's "oil" was served out of a plastic trash can (new, of course) and not the fancy punch bowl, so, probably not that one...Wayne Sagar

Re: Wingman quiz 3
Joe K had the lunches catered in his pit, and the food was awesome. I had the privilege of being invited to lunch there often. The Zeuschel shorts were part of the standard uniform around Van Nuys, even if you were a member of team "ground round". I think I have one more pair somewhere. When I worked for Zeuschel we would order enough T-shirts at the beginning of July to make it through a month without doing laundry. You'd go to work wear a new shirt, go home sleep, open a new shirt, back to work. Both the Zeuschel thrash, and the Rare Bear thrash would start around July 4th and end the day after Reno. But Joe K, had great lunches at the event and BBQs at the airport weekly during the summer.John Slack
