Well, not gonna make it. Pop is really ill. At 80 years of age his 23 years of pylon judging are over. If you know Howard, you know how happy he was race week with the crew at outer 3. He is sure going to miss all his friends and not going to Stead is really tough. So, at some point during a race this year, raise a toast to Howard Merritt and his many years of volunteer service to RARA.

Go Strega, go Bear, go VooDoo, PM, Buick and Yak. Fly fast, turn left and stay safe.

Howard is a really great guy. We will all miss him.

Howard is a great guy. We had some really great aviation discussions at Reno the year before last. He always helps during the pylon judge party and will be missed by all of us. Please give him our best.

I will echo Outer 6's comments. Howard will be missed by many and glasses will be raised in his honor. Best to Howard and your entire clan.
