  • LAMP AIRCRAFT CYLINDER HEAD. AUCTION FIND.

    Pictures here: https://picasaweb.google.com/1094612...ftCylinderHead
Saw this a few minutes ago at a swap meet. The unit is currently available. I don't plan on buying it unless there is a buyer. Would anyone pay $200 plus shipping from San Francisco for it? It weighs 30-40lbs.

Call if interested. Five one zero. Five two three, five zero three one. No Texting.

    Can anyone help identify it?

I have one My dad got for me at POF about 20 years ago.
Not sure what it is from but very cool for an airplane geek.

Leo. Does yours look similar/identical, the base, lamp shade, cylinder head...?

No, it's from a smaller radial I think, not sure of type but used to know.
Painted gold, bolted to a circular base, with the plugs, intake and exhaust tubes installed and chromed. The shade I put on.
It's heavy but moveable without pulling anything out of whack.

Quite a few years ago Mike Nixon had a table set up in the pits selling engine parts. He had a pair of new early Merlin rods on pistons. I think he wanted $120. I would have bought it if I had the extra cash. Could be the same ones. In the past I bought a Merlin piston, rocker arm and valve. I paid $5 each. Have you seen what Anderson Aeromotive wants for old engine parts? Should have a loan officer standing by. Anderson started selling old parts because a friend tried to buy a master rod clock he had on display. I would try to ID the cylinder head but the link doesn't work.
