I think it was Saturday, why was the jet 777 black flagged at the start of the race?

Didn't know that. Good for them. He was way out of line the day before. It did seem strange that he got black flagged before he even got to pylon 2 on the first lap. I thought it was strange that he was even allowed to fly at all. I could only assume that he was put on an extremely short leash, then jumped the start and immediately black flagged. Totall speculation on my part though. I'm sure there's more to it if not something completely different.

I heard he jumped the start, didn't see it. I don't think he flew during the remainder of the races after he was black flagged, so don't know if he was black flagged for just that race or the entire races.

He did fly the next day and took the win in bronze, guess he finally corrected himself (or since he has a silver racer he just stayed away from everyone while he held the lead)...

The pilot was involved in the midair. The airplane he brought to race this year was not the same air frame. The one involved in the midair was very much a total loss.

That's what I meant sorry. So here we are again! A pilot that maybe shouldn't be racing still out on the course that has had several issues since his rookie year. First time I saw this guy fly I wanted to follow a certain persons advise and go watch the jet class from downtown Reno.

Isn't he the same pilot the went off-roading in a Mig-21 a while ago? Off the south end near Military Road.

No. I think that was one of the Tac Air guys. Had brake failure IIRC.
