  • Ferocious Frankie (437104)

I came across this video on fbook and the lead into the vid stated "Ferocious Frankie on the other hand was built before the end of World War II and served 11 months in England. After that, she was used for air racing and even starred in many Hollywood blockbusters." Anyone know when/where it raced; Reno, Cleveland, Mojave, Miami....?? Also, nothing like getting up close and personnel with the planes as they taxi by.

Like In The Old Days, These Birds Make A Great Team This footage featuring some of the most iconic warbirds of World War II was recorded during the Flying Legends Airshow in 2014. Hosting one of the most exciting airshows in Europe, this annual event is a gathering of some of the rarest and iconic

From 1974-1976 the airframe was co-owned by Charlie Beck and Jim Modes from the Condor Squadron out of Van Nuys. It raced at Reno and Mojave during that period as #7 Candy Man. They sold it in 1976 and used the money to begin the still-to-fly-almost-40-years-later "Wildfire" Unlimited (at the time known as the Super Six).
