"Hot New Driver"

I have seen a couple of references to Strega having a "hot new driver" in 2016, some implying a return by Stevo (not exactly "new" but certainly "hot"). Has Hoot or Tiger stated that Hoot will not be flying Strega this year or is he still considered new?

If I had a full blown unlimited and wanted to put a true racer in the cockpit I would tap the shoulder of Phil Goforth. With the right training that guy would whale on a whole bunch of people. It's not about what he's flown, but his attitude is in line with winning with anything put underneath him. If Tiger took him under his wing and showed him how to fly Strega "his way" that would be a very fast airplane with a very fast pilot behind it.

I agree with "Wild Bill'. Phil has the right attitude & knowledge to be able to fly "Strega" for another win for "Tiger". Al Goss thought he was great for promoting the "Air Racing" community. Go Phil.

If Hoot isn't flying Strega, what will he be flying instead? Also, why change steeds when he proved that he could win last year? Is there more to the story that hasn't been said yet?
