    Tigercat Misc.

Thanks for the kind words about POTW "Warlock"!!!

Bill, I have a good friend that flew for Sis-Q while the F7F's were in service- I will ask him what the story is regarding the "racing"
    Tigercats.

As I'm sure you know, TBM Inc. and Sis-Q had several working
Tigercats, and lost several fighting fires with them.

Here is a shot I took of the Flanders/Bogue ex Sis-Q #E40 (also
was #E32 at one time) at Livermore, CA. many years ago.

Bob Love flew the Tigercat in a demo "race" with John Herlihy's
    Bearcat and a couple Mustangs.

    Cheers! All the best, RG

      Hey Randy,

"E 42" is the one that appears in the book. All other info was stated in my post above yours. I'm loving these old pics.

Was the Tigercat Bob Love flew Race 62, BuAer 80390, N6129C? That is the other Tigercat listed in Berliner's book.

        Light nose gear..

Yes, that nose gear does look light... reminds me of the early Cessna 310.. you had to be very careful not to use differential power to turn it because you could tear off the nose gear or atleast damage the attachment points... if it went down it usually put the props into the dirt also....bad news!

          Tigercats

          Bill,

#E62 was the TBM Inc. F7F that Bob Forbes had at Reno.

Bob Love flew the demo race at Livermore in #E40
It was a VERY hot day, John Herlihy told me it was 140+ in the
cockpit of his Bearcat before firing up!

Here is a shot Dr. Fred Stevens passed on to me of the ex #E62,
once again on the Reno ramp.

            N7626C

            Victor, Randy and all,

            N7626C was E 42 and owned by Sis-Q from 1969-1984. I still don't know who flew it in 1971 @ Mojave.
