I have finally broken down and started posting selected scenes from my 20+ years of BRADFIRE video tapes. Every now and then the topic of the "Bomber race" from Reno 1997 comes up. Here's a link to some video of Fifi and Diamond Lil turning a couple of 300 mph laps around the sticks.

I never saw Miss Ashley, so that video of yours was cool to see.
But "Bomber Race" to me means Lincoln 1975.remember the Oogahonk!

Thanks for posting that Big_Jim!
I have relayed the link to that video clip to my friend who in turn relayed that to the pilot that was flying Diamond Lil around the pylons.
I got word back that he LOVED IT!
I would still like to get a dvd copy for him if you don't mind.
Thanks again!

Wouldn't it be a great addition to the show, to have Bombers (B17, B24, B25, B26 & B29) do couple parade laps. Maybe Saturdays & Sundays, scripted to keep them a safe distance from each other for safety and such. I think the visual of that, combined with the sound would just be over the top.
They could bill it as "Bomber Races". Maybe even to help offset some of the costs, sell rides???
