Maybe it's for tax assessment purposes? Seems like a lot of trouble to have it painted that is "anti-war-bird" The paint job certainly limits your market when you have to invest another 40-50k in stripping and paint.

Mustang paint schemes. I like the warbird paint schemes on stock Mustangs. In the past there were some pretty cool "civilian" paint jobs on Mustangs. Ole Yeller, Clay Lacy's Mustang come to mind. The schemes on highly modified racing Mustangs, I like all of them. But I must admit the paint on "Gold Finger" is a head scratcher for me. To each his own.
