Idea for RARA - Sunset Engine Start-up

Watching Jason's Voodoo start-up video gave me a idea.

You know how NHRA has a cackle fest?

RARA is always looking for ideas to fill the stands, keep people their longer, etc.

How about a Friday sunset start-up event, it would be up to the teams to choose if they want to enter, every plane entered has a specific time for start-up and run-in (5 minutes?).

What a sensation for the eyes and ears, take place by the pits, this in turn could increase pit pass sales. Or in front of the reserved stands.

Sure would make for some excellent photo ops as well.

Further to this, maybe tie it in to a pit crew contest. $5000.00 first place prize for the crew and some bragging rights.

I'm sure some showmanship will come out and make this fun event.

That could be cool. Night/twilight runs are what I look forward to every year. Seeing exhaust flames at night is a really cool experience.
