In tems of efficiency, a single blade is actually the "best". Because you don't have blades going through each other's wake and stuff. This is impractical in most cases because you have to counter weight the single blade and you can only do that for a specific RPM and pitch.

That's a myth. The only time multiple blades would be flying through each other's wake would be if they weren't moving air, which would be a pretty sorry excuse for a propeller.... Nevermind the bending moment that a single blade would impart on the crankshaft and engine mount as it rotated.

Updated with recent entries, Race 44 got pulled... I thought Chia was gonna do some finishing touches at Santa Paula. Maybe the finishing touches are actually the beginning touches for next year..?

Full rebuild on 44. Chia said it needed to be completely gone through after being beat on as a racer all these years.

Full rebuild on 44. Chia said it needed to be completely gone through after being beat on as a racer all these years.

Probably a good idea... They did fix the cursed 33/44 engine situation though right? That was the last I heard

I didn't think it would be, the entry list as of yesterday still has it there. Probably hasn't relayed to RARA that it's a ways off

Stevo was supposed to race 33 last year (or maybe it was year before last, can't remember for sure) Engine blew up on a test flight. So not sure they have exorcised that demon just yet....

The engines of 33 and 44 had defective camshafts installed. 44's engine has been rebuilt and will be back on Miss Karen II shortly.

33 is still without an engine. Steve Hinton was to has raced 33 in 2017 but since the engine blew up a few minutes into the first flight that wasn't possible.

Sorta, kinda updated this. So far I've learned that Pete's Race #28 is now N105PZ (hence the PZ). It looks pretty awesome!!!

Yet to see pics of 6, 24, or 37 if anyone has proof they're on site

6 broke something a week or two. I’d heard about some smoked pistons but this was something bigger. Vicky is racing #15 instead.

8 just had the prop depart. All safe.

30 had some smoke. Checked the cylinders and everything is fixed now. Will qualify tomorrow.

181 broke a cylinder Saturday, but they are going to replace it (if they haven’t already)
