Wow, that shot of the P-38 with the Sharkmouth on the nacelle was the first warbird that I ever got to see in the air!

Sure brings back memories of that 1973 Confederate Air Force show at Scholes Field in Galveston!

Didn't it also belong to Mr. Levitz?

I was at Reno when they lowered the gear on the ramp. Very sad.

Sure glad I was able to experience the hill back in the day. We had a saying, if you need a hair cut, stand-up when lefty comes by. I had some real good VHS video at one time of some of Lefty's passes and it unfortunately got overwritten :-(

There is some footage on youtube from back there that is pretty decent and does a good job of showing just how crazy it was.

but nothing will ever compare to being there. I can remember it perfectly. Low passes are awesome, but there is nothing like 8 low passes in a row!
