Well, things are going to happen in rapid succession now... I'm going to do a final database backup at 2:30PM CST today. After the vBulletin team gets it - the new site should be operational "with all posts" soon thereafter. Then following a series of checks, and if all goes well, I'll post a link to the new forums here soon.

Thanks for your patience,

  • Veteran Timer Polly Tucker Passes

Polly Tucker of Fernley, Nevada, a veteran volunteer timer at the Reno home pylon under three Chiefs, died of heart complications on February 13 according to information received from her son Dale, who is the Chief Flagman at Reno. Polly's voice is very familiar to all pilots. She was communicator on the radio when pilots called in for time until 2003 when she was sick and unable to report for duty full time.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ed Tucker, also a veteran at Reno.

Messages of condolence and other memories posted here will be forwarded to her only survivor, Dale.

    Let's hear it for Polly.

Oh that is sad Len... I hope Dale is taking it OK... He lost his dad, his mom and his dog... He is truly alone now..

Do you happen to have Dale's email? If so, would you private message me and send it along, or email me via the board..

Dale, if you read this.. I know everyone is pulling for you buddy...

I hope this helps but I lost my dad in '93 and I'm convinced that they live on, in a far, FAR better place!

Sincere condolances to Dale and all who knew her.
