Long time IF-1 Pilot/Owner and all-around good guy George Budde passed away Sept. 21st at the age of 96. He started racing in 1976, after a few years of crewing for older brother Bobby. George probably has owned more F-1 aircraft than anyone, and was responsible for bringing many new pilots into the sport. He was a regular in the F-1 hangar at Reno as recently as 2017. He and the entire Budde family have been and continue to be tremendous assets to air racing, IF-1 in particular. Anyone who ever had the pleasure of knowing George will never forget him.
