  • Planes of Fame incident

Please keep our friends at the Planes of Fame Museum in Chino in your thoughts and hearts. The Northrop N9M flying wing that was a spectacular part of their collection went down this afternoon. All of the specifics will come out as soon as the proper channels have been taken, but this is a sad shadow that will be cast.

    Blue Skies.

Such a sad day, still really can’t believe that it happened.

One of those things you get the news on and think it can’t be possible and your stomach drops.

Prayers to all involved, David’s family, the POF family, and the warbird family.

We lost a great leader in the warbird community and a one of a kind piece of history.

            Devastated.

Condolences to the pilot's family, and all the Chino family as well.

Was reading the typical comments last night. "It shouldn't have been flown." My response is tens of thousands got to see and experience Jack Northrop's dream in the air. We now have an extensive record of the N9M in flight. That could not otherwise have happened. We are all better for the experience.

                Blue skies.

I had read previous reports that the plane had done a roll, ...but I don't think it was intentional.

Just thinking back on all the tens of thousands of people that had the chance to see this airplane in flight. It was a great tribute to the designers and pilots who flew it.
