LOL.. that's cause, due to the fact that I did NOT want to do another database backup/restore.. due the the fact that the old board database formatting is slightly different and it's a royal PITA moving it over to this one... I decided to get it working, and let it fly..

The changes will be, "on the fly" also..

Mark Kallio has had this version of the message board running for a fair amount of time and I'll be leaning on him for advice (so he can "pay me back" for all the server admin time lately )

Again, I'm runnin on "empty" as far as sleep goes, so I'm probably going to limit what I do until I get rested. Mistakes are hard to fix sometimes and much easier to make when I'm tired!!

Hey Mark, I'll take you up on that help.. I'm STILL out of ciggies tho!!

Gonna ride my bike up to the store here in a bit if I don't fall asleep first!

The folks at Vbulletin have done a great job with this software.. Now, if they would just add SPELLCHECKER, I think it'd make a lot of folks happy but.. I read up on some "hacks" and I think I can make that work.. There are two buried modules in the servers that can handle spell checking, it's just getting to them that's the issue..

Anyway..

Off to store!!

I tried not to grab your color scheme too much but I'm really fond of gray stuff... "it's a guy thing" I think...

Well, it IS different. I'm not a "technie" like many of you, but I likethe thumbnails and yes, perhaps it will be good for us "ol' dial up folks." Maybe one of these days this writer will post some images I took..ha. Wayne, you are dedicated and really put your heart into this website. Take a break one of these days.

It just boggles my mind that many are still using 800X600. It drives me insane when I'm using a computer at this resolution. I feel like I'm reading one of those large type books, not to mention having to scroll all over the damn place just to read one web page. Right now I use 1280X1024, using a prehistoric PIII 600mhz slowpoke!! If people would just go ahead and change they would get used to the smaller text. They might even be amazed to see a whole page without having to scroll all the time.

Hi Curt - yeah, having a blast with the land stangs... just trying to keep 'em nice and clean is a lot of work. Between that and the other stuff going on, hard to find any time for just kicking back and posting. I manage to get a few posts in now and then though .

No new kills in the Cobras... weather has been crappy for the last few months and I've mostly been driving the truck. These last two weeks have been great weather though - driving something with a little power under the hood is a welcome change of pace.

Evil street cars in california? Well, I'm still working on my 89GT the Savage... she goes into the shop next month for a roll cage, mini tubs, some big fatty's out back and a whole mess of go-fast stuff. When she comes home some 2 1/2 months later - it'll be time to treat her to a new interior, some race bucket seats, and other suitable appointments & insturmentation. Yeah, I've been bitten hard by the car bug... and it's all good . We had such a nice day last week, I had to get the wife unit out of the house and grap some pics and a short video clip of the Savage to remember her by while she's in the shop.

Wayne, I know you put a lot of work into this... and we all get the benefit. I am not as sharp on the computer as most of you guys.. haven't figure out how to post a picture yet.. (that brings to mind the need for some kind of a "tuitorial" for us old and no longer so bold).. but this will take alittle getting use to for me and I won't see the advantages... Howard.
