Not funny/funny now. That would be horrible.

Or it could be a half of a P 82. How about a mated "Dago Red" & "Strega"?

Dago Red is second inline after Precious Metal.

I get to be OG-1, but to balance it out you can be OG-A. That way we don't have to argue about who is 1st.

Hey, I know what if we took two Griffons, put them in a lear fuselage with a Mustang wing? Think it would work?

                    Wouldn't a T-33 wing with the tip-tanks removed be more high-speed efficient?

Although, tip tanks could help with fluid-storage. Twin Griffons in a push-me/pull-you configuration would surely guzzle through fluids faster than flushing it down a hot-water toilet.

Glad to see this bring people together. If I had more free time I'd do all the Mustangs as TF's...Precious Metal is high on the list c r y s t a l b a l l

Well the XP 75 had 2 Allison's behind the the pilot with a shaft running under the seat turning controrotating props.

I talked to Thom a couple months ago in Florida. He said PM was in southern California waiting to be rebuilt but he didn't have the money to do it at the time. He didn't say what configuration it would be though. Thom is a great guy, and he has air racing in his veins. Hopefully he'll rebuild it as a racer!

SoCal? Can you narrow it down a bit more? POF maybe?

Unless things changed which I doubt, it?s pretty common knowledge that the bulk of the plane is at Airmotive Specialties in Salinas.
