That is an awesome picture. Thank you so much for sharing some of your historical stuff. It inspired me to go through the archives on reports.airrace.org and I love how in the early years they have specific notes about what was happening in each heat. i wish they had that from the races in the 90's.

The reason RARA has detailed notes about what happened in each of the races for each of the classes up to 1984 is that one man cared enough to get the information straight from the pilots'/crews' mouths and record it in the records.

RARA started to keep minimal records of its own in 1985... That's when context went away and with it a good deal of history. Fortunately that same man kept meticulous records until about 2004. So there is more detail... just not from RARA.

Howdy Neal, and thanks for the kind words.

I suspect that my posts somehow connect to that website because sometime in the past Wayne confused my board name with the name of the other Jan. Might be as simple as that.
