Four Sea Furies in one race?

Hi all,
Chad Dale from the Sanders squad shared this Facebook post (possibly not visible to non-FB users?) showing 924, Argonaut and Dreadnought together with the Dwelles' T.20 (formerly Critical Mass).

A UK-based warbird friend asked me "I wonder when the last time 4 Furies flew together?" and my instant reaction was Reno - the three Sanders birds regularly end up in the same races, but have there been occasions when there were four (or more!) in the same race?

Lets see, I'd guess 2018. Dreadnought, Sawbones, Argonaut, 924 and On Eagles Wings were all present. Before that, there were years when Sept Fury raced (rather than having the engine grenade in qualifying.) plus the Sanders birds and Sawbones. The last time 6 or more were racing might take some digging.

I believe this was in the time of the bad batch of bearings for the merlins.

Yep, there’s a Victor Archer photo of them coming down the chute, Bear and RR3 the only non-Furies in the race (and all of them having 3350’s or 4360)

What year was the all Sea Fury Silver? I don't think it was on Sunday, but one of the greatest races I have seen.

And one little Mustang, the only one to make the gold race in 05. Running 2nd and gaining on the Bearcat until burning a piston. We kept having problems with the H prop and were able to borrow race 7's propeller.

My friend was very impressed by the responses - I think he was expecting to hear that the Sanders-Dwelle photos were the first 4(+)-ship since the 1960s!
