I can't contact the WIX so I'm not sure where that thread leads, BUT, the P-47 and its markings look like the one that used to sit in front of the "Museum of Speed" in Daytona Beach. I haven't been there in something like 30 years. I think I remember reading that the MoS is no longer there. I would be very interested to know what ever happened to that "Bolt, as a kid going to Daytona it always seemed to me to be the biggest airplane I had ever seen.
It has been determined at WIX that this is the P-47N which was restored to fly by the Peurto Rican Air National Guard and was "re-acquired" by the USAF after a minor accident. Now on display at one of the Air Base museums, Eglin or Warner Robbins maybe? Can't remember for sure.
