Racers Near Caldwell ID?

Does anybody know anything about racers or high performance planes being in the Nampa/Caldwell vicinity last saturday? I heard some commotion in the sky and took a look and there was three planes cruising by, grouped pretty close together. Any info? Whatever they were, they sounded SWEET

I was not out there last weekend now that I live in California (went to Boise State) but I know that the Thunder Mustang is based out of Nampa. The whole production line is based out there I am pretty sure.

Were they heading E or W? Passing overhead to or from Osh? I know there were quite a few of the Cascade Warbirds coming home from Oshkosh to the Seattle area on Sat. They have some members in Idaho, and they were travelling in two, three, and four plane groups.
