His course was perfect during all his heat races as all his speeds were within a few mph race after race.

Now that's funny. Just curious...were you there in the back seat, or something? Perhaps monitoring a GPS plot of the line around the course and comparing them between heat races?

Consistency between lap times doesn't necessarily mean perfection.
