Re: Houston, no problem
The Thompson Trophy was brought back last year after sitting idle for quite some time. The Trophy is awarded to the plane with the fastest lap speed during qualifying or a during a race. On friday's heat race, Dago race average was 507+ with the fastest lap recorded @ 512+.

Re: Houston, no problem
I spent this Saturday and Sunday with Skip Holm and he was not concerned with the engine problems in Dago Red. Skip said they expect the engine back again early this week and should be flying again by next weekend.
The problem was a main bearing was coming apart so the engine was removed and sent for repair.
Don't count Skip out yet. Not that I am biased, but I have faith he will once again be showing the field he is still the man to beat at Reno.
