This is off topic, totally but... on the way here to BeerNazi's beach heaven for the New Year weekend, we got a phone call... her older brother is really sick with.. well.. you can guess. If you think I needed you guys'z prayers and well wishes, her bro needs it a lot more!

He had just gotten interested in warbirds and is totally fascinated with Precious Metal. I have him talked into Reno (wasn't hard) but he's gotta kick the killer outta his bod if he's gonna make it there!!

Gary drops in here at the site from time to time and I know that the support system that developed here for me when I was really at my sickest REALLY helped...

So, say a prayer for a fellow race fan, a new one at that. Dood's gotta get well so he can see an air race (at least one!!!!!!)

I know you guys and gals helped me get well, I know you'll help Gary get well too...

Thanks everybody! We're going to call Gary in the hospital later today, I'll tell him we've got sunsets to toast and airplanes to tour so he's gotta get better!

It was fun to introduce him to warbirds, I've shown him several "varieties" but for some reason, he REALLY was impressed with Ron's plane. Gary is a war baby, born in, I think '42 (still looks like a kid tho) so his first airplanes were the warbirds... but, he's always been a car guy.. now he sees these airplanes and is just fascinated with what he's been misssing...

We gotta get him better so he can really get hooked! Can you imagine what he's gonna think actually seeing them and racing at that!!!!
