Re: Stuck in the Snow
sorry guys, but living here on the east coast it's tough to have much sympathy for you
we missed a white xmas by one day here and most of the snow is melted already. I hear that January is the worst though. makes me dream of the days when snow was something you visited voluntarily and left when you got tired of it or had to go back to work.

Re: Stuck in the Snow
Eeyow! You guys are getting nailed! I remember some pretty heavy snow when I lived there, not every year, but once in a while, really deep! It was fun as a kid!
We get it up here in the Northwest sometimes, but it's pretty rare at sea level. Once in a while though, we get smacked down, or worse, ICE storms! It's been pretty mild for years though.

Re: Stuck in the Snow
Snow? What's Snow?
Nothing but rain here in the south bay area, but getting lots and lots of it....I'd say the partial drought we had for the last 3-4 years is history.
Best of luck dealing with the "white stuff". ...Makes me go "brrr" just thinking about it.

Re: Stuck in the Snow
...snow.....
......ain't that the stuff you look at on cards and shiver at the thought of?
......left MI 30+ yrs ago 'cause of the cold,
now I'm still cutting up wood
(downed by the huricanes) in the "cold" (29--39deg here seems real cold)
....ya'll be careful out there !
Happy New Year !

Not Stuck in the Snow
Same as everyone else living in the Bay area has mentioned, we have been getting tons-o rain. If I remember right it was somewhere around 176% of normal for the ENTIRE season. And it's still coming, supposed to rain off and on for the whole week.
