I recently stumbled on to the Wildfire racer site. After 20 odd years it's finally up & running! Got me to thinking tho. About 10 or so years ago, 2 other 'homebuilts' were being built. The above mentioned guys were building them. ISTR one used some Sea Fury wings & F-86 tail, maybe & the other used T-2 Buckeye wings & tail or something. One was powered by a P & W R-4360 & the other a Wright R-3350. ISTR Air Classics mag had some articles back then. Anyone know what ever became of these a/c?

American Spirit is Matt Jackson's project.
T-2 Aft Fuselage, wing, main gear, F-100 nose gear, with R-3350 engine. -
