Hi Guys, I have been an avid lurker for quite awhile. I received these photos from a friend and want to know if the are real. If anyone knows it will be you guys. Thanks

    ***Admin Edit***
Now I KNOW you guys are gonna kill me but, however fake those images are, they are going to have a copyright... *somewhere* and if the owner manages to find them and complain, we're all gonna be looking somewhere else to meet up.... SORRY.... truly... Jim, don't feel bad, PLEASE... I'm probably stricter than most in following copyright due to the TOS at our server farm..... Sorry again guys!

    Re: jscott1

Someone sent me those photos almost a year ago now. It's a mockup for a movie or? someone had posted a link to the info but that was quite some time ago. If you look at the last photo where it's supposed to be taking off you can see it's chained to the ground. Also the close-up shot you can see the canopy doesn't fit very well at all.

Besides....no self-respecting Naval Aviator would fly something that looks like that, anyhow.

Here is a link to Snopes which has the photos and also describes where they came from.

Do photographs show a prototype of the new F/A-37 military plane?

Thanks King. I didn't have time to look for it otherwise. Interesting. Looks like a GI Joe doll in the cockpit. Maybe it's one of those dolls that came up as a hoax kidnapping in Iraq? I know, we could say that he showed up in a stealth aircraft on the deck of a carrier in the Gulf? HAH!

Yeah, they stick with the really "sexy" jets like the Intruder and the Corsair II.

Will you get a ride in a F/A-37 Talon ? Would you like to. Looks very futuristic.

Jim, don't worry about it! I just have to remove anything that is copyrighted, those shots belong to someone, whether it be the producer of the movie, or some sailor who got to take them while the filming was going on...

Outside of an extreme respect for copyright that is instilled in most of us who photograph for a hobby/living/dream of a living have, even if it's a harmless exposure of a photo, particularly when there is no credit given to the photographer, we just can't let it happen..

                            Thanks for understanding!
