  • Georgia Mae?

Besides the banner on the back of the grandstand at Reno, anyone got any good archival pics of this stunning racer?

OH! OH! OH! I DO! I DO! I know right where they are at home. I'll dig them out and see if I can't get them posted here. Might be later tonight or sometime tomorrow. I'll do what I can.

Air Classics coverage of 85 has a series of her cartwheeling along the runway. I shot video of the last few seconds of it.
If I could scan my slides...

Well...I wouldn't go THAT far. The T-28 #96 that he brought in 1984 to try to run in the Unlimited Class (along with his B-25 #69) was pretty 'rough' looking by Sanders standards. :-)

              That's true. Forgot the T-28
But Jeannie, Geargia Mae and Georgia Girl (?, the B-25) were always pretty nice.

I would have sworn it was a picture of the other race #69, Jeannie, on that big banner in back of the grandstands this year. I thought I remember seeing a turtledeck on that racer, which Georgia May never had, IIRC. Am I mistaken?

Didn't he also have one named "Jeannie Too" ?
