Aviation lecture
Aerobatic pilot Mary Dilda, the Reno Air Race champion, will present an Aviation Expressions lecture at the Florida Air Museum at Sun 'n Fun at 7 p.m. Friday.
Cost: $12; Florida Air Museum members, $8; students, $6.
Dilda's career spans general, military, commercial and aerobatic performance aviation. She has been flying professionally since 1980, when she earned her flight instructor's certificate at Oklahoma State University and became an instructor there.
After graduation, she joined the Air Force and flew the C-9 Nightingale and the C-141 Starlifter as an instructor and examiner pilot.
Today, along with flying the T-6 Texan, Dilda flies as a first officer for a major U.S. cargo carrier.
