Yep, I kinda wish I were doing Oshkosh this year so I could see it in person. This is what Rod has been doing with his $$$$$$$$$ rather than playing with a certain Bearcat. This was a VERY impressive restoration. I really hope "Columbine" will be equally impressive when its finished. I'd love to see a pair of Connies in the air at the same time.
Yes, a flight of 2 B29s and 2 Connies would be epic! Man I'd love to do a 4 ship air to air shoot with those. 4 silver and polished 4 engined aircraft... yes please.
Total bummer that they just missed PRS. Question...When assessing a DQ for "high flying" would you measure from the high or low wingtip to the ground???
After eight years of restoration, The MacArthur Bataan Constellation has her first flight in Chino, CA. Stewart Dawson - PilotSteve Hinton - Co-PilotJeff Whi...
It's all about Sights and Sounds... And What A Sound it has !!! Bataan has been overhead our house multiple times. My best description during it's climb is an Angry Roar !!!
Clicked on Flight Aware Friday afternoon in time to see the Connie outbound from So Cal heading north. After a three hour flight she's arrived safely in Oregon for some interior work before Oshkosh. I highly doubt there's time for a complete interior before Oshkosh someone said that would be months to complete , but some will be done.
