Bob, it is tragically awesome that you saw the last races in Cleveland and in Reno. As a former Cleveland resident and many time Reno visitor, I hope we can see them race somewhere else very soon. Thunderbird is beautiful!!!
Excellent photos Will... I really like the way you captured the reflections & lighting in your work. For me, I was in the Miss America pits for almost the entirety of my time... so I wasn't able to capture the essence of the warbirds on the ramp like you, but I did grab some good pictures.
So, I was in the Miss America pits when...
A very nice young lady asked if I could take her picture with Miss America - how could I refuse
Amazing work Will! I have never seen anyone go at it with as much determination than what I saw in you all week! You never slowed down.. You are the exact same age as I was when I started doing this stuff.. had a physical job skied all the time but had about half the energy you showed at RENO this year... Can't wait to see more.. Had problems with the motorhome (leveling jack computer went south, stuck half a day in a rest area jacks down, no way to move) Tech was able to manually retract them but no way to extend again till new part..so we decided to cut the trip short, omit the two day visit to my brother's in Medford and came home. Was tough having bronchitis all week! I understand I made it kind of tough for you to sleep the two nights I spent right above you tent... I neglected to take any pictures of " Will's humble abode " as Markers described it when he saw your tent! I feel guilty having relative comfort of home all week while you suffered out in the cold! Glad you could use the shower however! Was great spending time with you and the trip up the hill was a real adventure!
