I have not seen anyone post anything here in the last two weeks about this, so I'll make everyone aware and then go back into lurker-mode. Shawn Aro was admitted into the Intensive Care Unit in Reno back in early April and has been in critical condition and under sedation since that time. A couple days ago he was transferred to Las Vegas to have access to some needed specialists, and I have not heard an update in the last 48 hours.

Shawn has been a friend for a long time and a frequent contributor to this site over the last 25 years. Please keep him in your thoughts for a fast and safe recovery.

I was unaware of this... I've also known Shawn for over 30 years, kid has a heart of gold. I'll be keeping him in my thoughts for sure.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Shawn. I figured out that I met Shawn and his brother Colin just about 45 years ago. Wishing a speedy recovery indeed.

This is such awful news, I just heard thanks to Brad on Facebook. I feel glad to have met Shawn last year but it wasn't until after we each said "Hi" and he went on his way that someone (Will?) explained exactly who it was I just met. We never got to chat but I feel we would have gotten along so well.
