  • Anyone need a Griffon 74?

I've got nothing to do with this engine, but I believe this is the same type that Precious Metal ran, from the same source (Miss Budweiser)

Bid for the chance to own a Rolls-Royce Griffon 74 V12 Engine at auction with Bring a Trailer, the home of the best vintage and classic cars online. Lot #164,203.

That would go great with the P-51 that I don't have. If you have money burning a hole in your pocket here is a Bearcat for sale.

That Bearcat is very much not for sale anymore. I'll be looking at it on Saturday. I know the owner.

This is what it looks like now, or at least a year ago. It will be repainted exactly the way it was. They wanted to keep the paint, but it kept coming off in big sections so a full repaint will be done.

Is the new owner doing anything else to it or just a repaint?

He fully intends to fly it. Its the same guy who bought Dusty's A model Mustang.

SOOO glad they're going to repaint it the same as it was! There aren't many civilian schemed warbirds around, and that one looks great!

Kinda on topic: I just bought a property where the previous tenant hasn't removed all of their stuff, and it's been a couple of months. How long before I get to claim the 4360's that they haven't moved yet?

Yes, the civilian scheme will go back on the Bearat.

As for the R4360s, you own the land, they have had ample time to move the stuff. "What engines are you talking about? Nope haven't seen them."
